"Should I Let My Kids Open Gifts on Christmas Eve?"
Hey Jim & Bethany-
I know some families have a tradition where they let their kids open up one present on Christmas Eve. Some of my kids have friends who are allowed to do it, so now they've been begging me to see if they can open one gift on Christmas Eve. I think opening presents early takes some of the fun and anticipation out of Christmas morning, but my husband doesn't see a problem with letting the kids open something small.
Should I cave and let my kids open one of their presents on Christmas Eve?
Are there any families who open up ALL their gifts on Christmas Eve instead of on Christmas day?

My boys are all grown up now, but we still get tgeethor at Christmas. We always sat tgeethor and watched a Christmas movie, allowed them to open one gift about an hour before bedtime and read the Night before Christmas to them on Christmas Eve.They could have whatever was in their stockings before we got up but that was all. We've had ham, eggs, homemade bread and eggnog every year for breakfast for the past 36 years.Loving Christmas is all about the giving and I've shared the Christmas story about baby Jesus with them every year.
