That Italian Cruise Ship Line Wants to Make Everything Better . . . by Offering Survivors 30% off Future Cruises
Costa Cruises is the Italian cruise ship line behind the wreck that led to 13 deaths, and 19 missing people. And THIS is their masterful public relations response.
--They've announced that not only will they be giving all the passengers from the ship a full refund . . . but, a spokesman says, quote, "[We] will offer them a 30% discount on future cruises."
--Seriously. A 30% discount.
--63-year-old Brian Page of Southampton, England is one of the survivors of the disaster. He says, quote, "It is a ridiculous and insulting offer."
--And he and his fellow passengers aren't just accepting that discount and calling things even. A class action lawsuit is in the works, with passengers seeking between $155,000 and $1.5 MILLION.
